Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions that we receive from our patients.

Q

I do not know which department to consult. What should I do?

A

Describe your condition at the General Information Counter. If a department still cannot be determined at the General Information Counter, visit Internal Medicine. Nurses will interview you and guide you to a department that matches your condition.

Q

I would like to visit Internal Medicine for the first time (in many years). Should I make an appointment?

A

An appointment is required for cranial neurology, diabetes, connective tissue diseases, rheumatology, and oriental medicine. Call Internal Medicine to make an appointment. No appointment is required for respiratory medicine, cardiovascular medicine, or gastrointestinal medicine. Come to Internal Medicine by around 11:00 in the morning or by 15:00 in the afternoon, since the measurement of vital signs and a medical interview are required. Note in advance that service is only available on specified days of the week.

Q

I do not have any referral letter. Can I consult with your hospital

A

Yes, you may visit us without a referral letter. However, please note that if you have not visited our hospital before, or have not visited us for six months or longer since your last visit, you need to pay 3,240 yen for the Special or Specified Medical Care Coverage (patient-selected extra medical services).

Q

I have been recommended in a health checkup to take a re-inspection or consult a hospital. Is a detailed examination available on the day of my visit?

A

X-ray photography, electrocardiography, and blood tests can be performed on the day of the visit. An appointment is required for CT, MRI, endoscopy, ultrasonography and other tests, and you will need to return to the hospital on the appointment date.

Q

I would like to ask for a diagnosis of dementia.

A

This diagnosis is to be made by the Cranial Neurology Unit. Contact Internal Medicine to make a required appointment.
