Do I need an appointment for the first visit?

A

You do not need any appointment for your first visit, please come to the reception desk directly. However, some departments may require appointments. Please let us know your necessary information in advance.

Are there additional charge for the first visit?

A

Yes, if you do not have a referral letter from another institution, you will be charged 7,700 yen (tax incl.) as “Fee for treatment of patients’ choice” in addition to medical fee.

What do I need when I visit the hospital?

A

Please bring your Japanese health insurance card. You are also required to present your resident card or your passport. For those who do not have Japanese health insurance qualification, a fee of 20 yen will be charged for each medical fee point, and required to pay at your own expense.

I don’t understand Japanese at all. Do you have a language support?

A

English and Chinese interpreters will be provided. We also offer language support through translation devices, three-way calls, and more.

What if I want to visit the Emergency Room after hours or on holidays?

A

There are no interpreters available at night and on holidays. However, we will be able to assist you with translating devices or three party calls. First, please call the ER and let them know you need language assistance.

Is there any female doctors?

A

Yes, female doctors are available. Please contact us in advance as this varies depending on the departments and day of the week

Is there a parking lot on the hospital?

A

Yes, there are paid parking lots. After your consultation, please submit the parking ticket to the reception desk. We will give you a discount coupon of 200 yen for 3 hours. Without discount, it is 400 yen per hour. Parking lots are reserved for outpatients only, so if you are hospitalized patient, please refrain from coming to the hospital by car. Family member of the hospitalized patient also receive the same discount.

Do I need to bring pajamas while I am hospitalized?

A

For a fee, you can rent pajamas and towels if you apply for the amenity support system. Please ask detailed information at hospitalization support office No.6 on the 1st floor, or hospital ward

Is there a shop in your hospital?

A

Yes, there is a convenience store NEW YAMAZAKI DAILY STORE.

Weekdays 7:30-18:00
Saturdays 8:00-17:00
Sundays and National holiday 9:00-17:00

Is there any ATM on the hospital premise?

A

Yes, an ATM (Mizuho Bank) is installed in the convenience store. It accepts cards from different financial institutions.

How much does a medical certificate cost? Can you translate it into English?

A

The costs for documentation are as follow. Please inquire the front desk for details.
A) Tamagawa hospital format(in Japanese):¥3,300 (Tax incl.)
B) Tamagawa hospital format(in English) :¥6,600 (Tax incl.)
C) Insurance company format:¥6,600 (Tax incl.)
D) Medical expenses invoice ¥2,200 (Tax incl.)

Can I pay by credit cards or debit cards?

A

The following credit cards are accepted and PIN code will be required.
VISA・MasterCard・JCB・American Express・Diners Card・UC Card・Discover Card Union pay card is also accepted.

Yes. You can see it on the reception counter.

Is there someone who can assist me?

A

If you need assistance during your visit, please ask the general information desk. Nurse in charge will take care of you.

Can I take tests today?

A

Your doctor will determine the necessary tests after consultation. Some tests are required reservations, so you may not be able to some tests.
